In 2003, she conducted a qualitative study (The Feminine Face of Leadership in Science) inquiring into the experiences and insights of women leading in scientifically-oriented businesses. Beata's expertise as a Master Somatic Coach™ combines elegantly with her field-tested experience in communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, change management and collaborative process facilitation . Her professional range includes perspectives and expertise gained from nearly two decades combined experience as an attorney, mediator, facilitator, coach and
consultant. The somatic framework is integrative, ontological and holistic in nature. Beata is certified as a Master Somatic Coach™ by (and is an Associate with) the Strozzi Institute in Petaluma, CA.
Beata works creatively with the resources and wisdom available from the whole, evolving self and organizational system. Beata is certified to administer instruments developed by The Leadership Circle™ (www.TheLeadershipCircle.com ) and those related to the Reina Trust and Betrayal Model™ (www.TrustinWorkplace.com ). She is also qualified to administer FIRO-Element-B, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI), and the Human Energy Hologram™. Beyond her
academic education, has studied with leaders in the fields of leadership, communication,
conflict resolution, group process and strategic alliance
structuring, including Angeles Arrien, Marshall Rosenberg, Kenneth Cloke,
William Lincoln, Robert Lynch and Interaction Associates.
Beata draws on cross-cultural experience, having lived and worked in several countries and being multi-lingual (native fluency in German and Swiss-German). She also draws from experience as a visual artist, musician, dancer, instructor of Hatha yoga and alpine skiing, and as a practitioner of healing arts (e.g. Somatic Bodywork™, Breema, Reiki, etc.). Beata graduated from Pomona College with a B.A., cum laude, in International Relations, including overseas study at the Institute for Graduate Studies in International Relations in Geneva, Switzerland, and research at the United Nations Commission for Trade and Development. While earning her J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law, Beata studied at Queen Mary College (University of London). She is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
